Wyoming issues first US state-backed stablecoin FRNT

Wyoming became the first US state to issue a government-backed stablecoin, the Frontier Stable Token (FRNT). The launch comes as bitcoin shed nearly 50% of its value from an October 2025 all-time high, clinging to the $60,000 mark. Wyoming has passed roughly 50 crypto-friendly laws over nearly a decade.
