Waymo robotaxis clog San Francisco on July 4

Waymo autonomous vehicles clogged San Francisco streets near the July 4 fireworks celebration, worsening gridlock due to unawareness of event-related road closures. Some robotaxis had dead batteries requiring towing, and at least one drove through a firework. Waymo said some closures were not communicated and pointed to successful operations at other large events.
