Synopsys Debuts AI Autopilot for Chip Design

Synopsys announced AgentEngineer, a portfolio of domain-specific long-horizon AI agents built on its new Autopilot Platform, covering verification, validation, implementation, analog design, manufacturing, and simulation. More than 50 customer engagements are underway, with general availability planned for the end of 2026. The agents aim to accelerate the shift from AI-assisted design to autonomous engineering, though human approval checkpoints remain.
