Waymo bought Apple's self-driving car proving ground for $220M

Waymo acquired a 5,500-acre proving ground in Wittman, Arizona from an Apple-linked shell company for $220 million. The facility includes a city course, vehicle dynamics area, oval track, and freeway course for autonomous vehicle testing. Apple purchased the property in 2021 for $125 million before canceling Project Titan.
