South Korea Fines Google and Apple

The Korea Media and Communications Commission fined Google 42.9 billion won and Apple about 20.8 billion won, totaling 63.7 billion won or $47.6 million. Both companies must allow outside payment links within apps and fix fee structures by January 2024 under the Telecommunications Business Act.
