Brazil's central bank will require virtual asset service providers to hold certain transfers for up to 24 hours. The rules, effective Jan. 1, 2027, cover transactions above $10,000 to overseas providers or self-custody wallets, plus other flagged transfers. Providers must notify customers and keep fraud records.
