Gregory Kurtzer, co-founder of CentOS, built a Linux-compatible kernel named Ginux in 11 days using an AI agent. The project produced about 139,000 lines of code and tests across more than 1,000 commits. While it can boot Rocky Linux 10, it remains a research prototype running inside a QEMU virtual machine without physical hardware support.
