KIER researchers developed a catalytic process using nickel oxide to remove lithium salts from perovskite solar cells, extending device lifespan to 1,000 hours at 85°C and 85% RH. The method achieved a power conversion efficiency of 25.24%, surpassing conventional additive-based processes. Published in Advanced Science in 2026, the study was led by Se Jin Ahn and Professor Dong Suk Kim.
