Joby buys Resonant Sciences for $500m

Joby Aviation agreed to buy Dayton, Ohio defense contractor Resonant Sciences for about $500m, its largest acquisition. The $450m cash and $50m stock deal creates Joby's dedicated defense unit. Resonant, profitable with over $100m trailing revenue, keeps its name under CEO J. Micah North.
