Android backup data now counts toward Google storage

Starting July 7, all data types in Android backup settings count toward Google Account storage, including SMS, call history, and device settings. Google says this adds only 40 MB on average. New toggles for SMS, MMS, call history, and device settings are rolling out over the coming weeks.
