73% of Flathub apps tagged "AI Slop" were abandoned within months. Linux developer Evangelos Paterakis found 88 of 120 repos had no recent activity. Many were deleted or never updated. The finding supports Flathub's May 2026 ban on AI-generated code, announced by maintainer Bart Piotrowski.
