At Imola, two driverless cars from PoliMove and Unimore crashed during an Abu Dhabi Autonomous Racing League event. Unimore's car lost lidar and radar data, triggering a safety stop; PoliMove's car could not avoid the collision. Only two of five finalists finished, exposing perception and response limits in autonomous racing.
