Apple Sets iPhone Duo Pre-Order Prep Date

Apple will open its Get Ready pre-order process for the iPhone Duo on October 12, letting buyers preselect color, storage, carrier and payment before pre-orders go live October 16 at 8:00 a.m. ET. The early window runs through much of October 15 and is meant to speed checkout and improve launch-day delivery odds.
