Global Solar Council Launches AgriPV Taskforce

The Global Solar Council launched an AgriPV Taskforce at Intersolar Europe 2026, chaired by NextPower. The initiative aims to accelerate agrivoltaics deployment, where solar generation and agriculture share land. Studies suggest using just 1% of agricultural land could unlock nearly 33 TW of additional solar capacity, over ten times current installed capacity.
