SafeDrive AI helps self-driving cars choose safer paths

Seoul National University researchers led by professor Jun Won Choi built SafeDrive, an AI model that generates multiple driving trajectories and scores each for safety before choosing one. The model tackles safety and explainability weaknesses in current end-to-end systems. SafeDrive was a highlight paper at CVPR 2026, a distinction given to roughly 3% of submissions.
