MySQL supports geospatial data through three core object types: points, paths, and polygons. Spatial data types store geometry and geography values in table columns. Single-geometry types include GEOMETRY, POINT, LINESTRING, and POLYGON. Multi-geometry types include MULTIPOINT, MULTILINESTRING, MULTIPOLYGON, and GEOMETRYCOLLECTION. PlanetScale supports geospatial objects.
