Italian cybersecurity start-up Exein has achieved unicorn status with a $270m funding round, valuing the company at $1.7bn. The round was led by Headline, with participation from Sofina and Goldman Sachs. Founded in Rome in 2018, Exein builds technology to secure hardware at the processor level and is embedded in 2bn chips globally, with customers including Nvidia and AWS.
