Railways Tighten Component Marking Checks

Indian Railways will enforce stricter warranty compliance for critical freight components after illegible or missing markings on parts involved in equipment failures blocked manufacturer identification. RDSO directed zonal railways, wagon makers and inspectors to enforce marking rules, with random checks on new supplies. Non-compliant lots will be rejected, and suppliers must replace them free under warranty.
