Huawei Launches Kirin 9050 Pro Chip

Huawei has introduced the Kirin 9050 Pro, a mobile processor it claims is entirely free of American technology. The chip powers the Mate XT 2 tri-fold phone, which went on sale in China on September 12, 2026, starting at 19,999 yuan (~$2,980). Huawei touts a 42% overall performance improvement over the previous generation.
