Microsoft targets 8 GB RAM for Windows 11

Microsoft added memory optimization for 8 GB and above to its Windows 11 improvement list. Executive VP Pavan Davuluri cited a more efficient memory allocator and WinUI 3 tuning. The move follows IDC's forecast of an 11.3 percent PC shipment slump in 2026.
