Battery-free photosynthesis stabilizes solar fuel output

Researchers at Osaka Metropolitan University built an artificial photosynthesis system that stabilizes solar fuel production under shifting sunlight without a battery. A self-regulating chemical component integrated into the electrolyzer removes the need for expensive battery-powered control. The study appears in EES Solar.
