2 min read
django-modern-rest, a typed async-ready REST framework for Django, released version 0.16.0 on October 1, 2026. Built during opensource_september with 32 contributors and 144 commits, it adds PydanticFastSerializer, BodyMsgspec, cursor pagination, and first-class CSRF. Agent skills now ship inside the package, and the $dmr-upgrade skill helps coding agents migrate from 0.15.0.
