The Linux kernel team published 432 CVEs across Sunday and Monday, overwhelming sysadmins. Jan Schaumann of Akamai said the volume makes prioritizing individual kernel changes infeasible. nixCraft speculated AI bug reports drove the surge, following Linus Torvalds' May comment that AI-assisted hunting made the kernel security list almost unmanageable.
