'Virtual power plant' firm Axle Energy raises £20m

London-based Axle Energy raised $25m (£18.7m) in a Series A round to scale its virtual power plant software. Founded in 2023 by former Bulb executive Karl Bach and data scientist Archy de Berker, the platform integrates EV chargers, home batteries, and heat pumps into electricity markets.
