Silver Fox, a China-linked cybercrime group, deployed a new Rust-based RAT called MODBEACON. QiAnXin reported the malware uses gRPC tunnel streaming for encrypted C2, hosted on Amazon and Cloudflare CDN. The campaign targets technology, education, and state-owned enterprises in Asia via SEO-poisoned counterfeit installers.
