Max Vega replaced the original electronics of a 1981 Casio VL-1 keyboard with an ESP32-C3 microcontroller. The mod turns the instrument into a ROMpler that loads samples from a microSD card. An OLED screen and original buttons handle instrument selection, while the keyboard and speaker remain unchanged.
