FTC Investigates Block Over Frozen Accounts

The FTC filed a petition seeking a court order to compel Block to hand over documents regarding consumer complaints about frozen Square and Cash App accounts. The agency began the probe last year after receiving more than 1,500 complaints alleging customers lost access to funds totaling up to $2.5 million since 2022.
