Swift Package Index joins Apple, pledges to remain open source

Swift Package Index, the community-run search engine and metadata index for Swift packages, has joined Apple. The platform pledges to remain open source with no immediate changes for developers. Apple plans to add resources for greater scale and introduce new capabilities around package signing and identity.
