Anthropic embedded invisible watermarks in all Claude models released on or after August 2, 2026. Developer Guillaume Meyer published watermarks-remover on GitHub the same day, reaching 4,500 stars within 48 hours. The tool strips C2PA metadata and invisible Unicode but cannot guarantee defeating statistical text watermarks.
