Volkswagen remotely limits the maximum charge of 22,524 ID.4 electric vehicles to 80 percent to prevent battery fires. This temporary fix follows a January recall covering 44,000 models from 2023 to 2025. Owners receive warning stickers, while dealer notifications are scheduled for late November.
