The European Commission stated Apple alone decided not to launch Siri AI in the EU, rejecting Apple's claim that regulators blocked it. Apple sought an exemption from Digital Markets Act interoperability rules instead of building a compliant solution, according to Commission spokesperson Thomas Regnier.
