Flatpak-NG sounds like bad news for systemd refuseniks

Flatpak-NG, a next-generation redesign, would replace the current bubblewrap isolation layer with a new systemd component called systemd-appd. This would simplify Flatpak and add network virtualization but make Flatpak 2 dependent on systemd. Alternative-init distros would need substantial work to write their own replacement.
