ByteDance Tests Standalone Doubao Assistant App

ByteDance is reportedly testing a personal AI assistant tied to Doubao, tentatively named Xiaodou, for release as a standalone app. The project, previously known internally as Spell, is being built by the team behind the Doubao phone assistant. It remains in internal testing, and the public name and features may change before launch.
