Hacktron researchers used Anthropic's Claude Opus 5 to chain a libheif image bug in OpenAI's Discourse forum with a shared login flaw, taking over ChatGPT and Codex accounts of OpenAI staff and reaching an internal code repository. OpenAI fixed it in 14 hours and paid a $6,500 bounty on September 1.
