UK Adopts Euro 7 Standard for Cars

From November 2027, the UK requires new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles to meet the Euro 7 standard. Rules mandate that EV batteries retain at least 80% capacity after five years or 100,000 kilometres, while diesel nitrogen oxide limits align with petrol vehicles at 60 mg/km. Manufacturers must also install standardized battery state-of-health monitors by the deadline.
