Google and the FBI warn that Silent Ransom Group sends fake IT workers to law firm offices to steal data via USB drives or remote access. The gang targeted dozens of victims from January through May. The attackers exfiltrate contracts, Social Security numbers, and financial records without encrypting data, then threaten to publish it on a leak site.
