Rhode Island Tests Burning Old Boats for Cement

A Rhode Island pilot project shredded about 60 tons of old fiberglass boat hulls and sent the material to a South Carolina cement plant. The shredded fiberglass is used as both a fuel source and a raw material substitute in cement production.
