CATL's €7.3B Hungary plant starts early 2026

CATL's €7.3 billion battery plant in Debrecen, Hungary, will begin production in early 2026, months ahead of schedule. The facility will have 100 GWh annual capacity and supply BMW, Stellantis, and Volkswagen. Over 9,000 employees have been hired, with construction starting in 2022.
