Image Playground gets realistic AI image generation in iOS 27

Apple added native photorealistic image generation to Image Playground at WWDC 2026 as part of iOS 27. The feature generates realistic images directly from text prompts, closing a gap with competitors. Users can still create in Animation, Illustration, and Sketch styles. The update includes new models and controls.
