NASA plans rescue mission for sinking Swift telescope

NASA's Swift Observatory, a space telescope launched in 2004, is sinking faster than expected due to solar storms and faces incineration later this year. NASA hired Katalyst Space Technologies to launch a robotic spacecraft called LINK, which will tow the telescope 150 miles higher into a safer orbit. The rescue mission is scheduled to launch on June 27.
