Security researcher NightmareEclipse, also known as Abdelhamid Naceri, released a proof-of-concept called BigDiskBuster that stops Microsoft Defender from installing platform and security intelligence updates. The tool fills the drive with hidden temporary files until updates fail, then frees the space. It works on all supported Windows versions, though the claim is unverified and the code is buggy.
