MiCA architect says EU should prioritize tokenization over DeFi rules

Peter Kerstens, an architect of MiCA, told Cointelegraph the EU should focus on tokenization and real-world assets rather than regulating DeFi through a second MiCA version. He said laws cannot apply directly to computer networks, making DeFi regulation difficult. The European Commission's public consultation on MiCA runs through Aug. 31.
