China Reduces Troop Deployment Along LAC in 2025

India's Ministry of Defence annual report states that China's People's Liberation Army significantly reduced its deployment along the Line of Actual Control in 2025. The report details 10 combined arms brigades deployed opposite the northern borders, translating to approximately 45,000 to 50,000 troops along the LAC. This is a reduction from the nearly 60,000 troops deployed during the 2020 border crisis.
