D-Propulse Tests Rotating Detonation Engine

Founded in 2025, D-Propulse successfully completed five ground tests of its 5 kN rotating detonation engine at DRDO's Hyderabad facility in July 2026. The startup claims the technology is 15-25% more efficient and 60% cheaper than conventional ramjets, aiming to reduce India's dependence on foreign missile engine technology while planning early flight tests between June 2027 and December 2027.
