University of Tennessee Deploys Electric Garbage Truck

The University of Tennessee Knoxville deployed a new McNeilus Volterra ZFL electric garbage truck this week. The Class 8 vehicle features a 499 kWh battery pack with an optional 665 kWh pack. It offers up to 110 miles of route capability over a 10-hour shift for daily recycling duty.
