Utah lets AI renew prescriptions without doctors

Utah became the first US state to let Doctronic's AI chatbot renew prescriptions without a doctor through a regulatory sandbox. The state's medical board called in April for the pilot to be halted over safety risks, but the state refused. Doctronic expects to move to fully automated refills soon.
