NASA Swift Telescope Crashes to Earth

NASA's Swift Observatory, a truck-sized space telescope launched 22 years ago, is expected to re-enter Earth's atmosphere on Wednesday at approximately 3:30AM ET. The 3,200-pound spacecraft failed to reach a higher orbit, though surviving components pose a low risk of harm with a probability of 1 in 2,100. Most of the unit will burn up during descent.
