Paint.NET now uses an internal, from-scratch, clean-room reverse-engineered rewrite of Direct2D on WINE, triggered by /wine. The 180,000-line code, written by Claude, lives in PaintDotNet.Windows.Direct2D1.Managed.dll. Rick Brewster cannot review it all, calling it "vibe coded.
