Saronic plans $3.2B autonomous drone shipyard

Saronic selected Brownsville, Texas, for Port Alpha, a shipyard for autonomous vessels. The facility could expand from 835 to nearly 4,400 acres and build ships over 1,200 feet long. The project expects over $3 billion in private investment, construction starting in 2026, and operations in 2028, creating up to 10,000 direct jobs.
