Databricks Acquires Spreadsheet Startup Row Zero

Databricks acquired Row Zero, a cloud spreadsheet startup that scales beyond one million rows, on Thursday. Terms were undisclosed. Row Zero raised $10 million in May 2025 at a $40 million valuation. Databricks plans to integrate Row Zero with its Genie AI agent so users can query secure data via familiar spreadsheet formulas. CEO Ali Ghodsi said more acquisitions are coming.
